Fulford Enterprises has extensive experience in translating scripts and subtitles for television programs and videos.

Subtitles

We consider the length of time that a subtitle will remain onscreen as well as the number of characters that can easily be read in the time available. We do so while using natural phrases that match the style of the video and the tempo of the speaker. We also include details that enable viewers to grasp the context.

Narration

The audience listens to a narrated script, and so the language must seem natural when heard. In a limited time frame, we convey the necessary information while including relevant background details. These may include supplementary explanations when translating documentaries about traditional culture or history.

Production support

We support the production of English versions of television programs that have already been aired in Japan so that they can be submitted to international competitions. We also translate and supervise the narration of original television programs that are broadcast on NHK World-Japan. We are involved from the production and planning stages, and are present for studio recordings and post-production edits. Fulford Enterprises has extensive experience in this field.
